Budget Energie is the best energy supplier with the lowest price, followed by Innova Energie and Vandebron.
In 2026, just like last year, Budget Energie is the cheapest energy supplier in the Netherlands. Over the past year, they appeared most frequently in the top 3 of our energy comparison tool. This proves once again that Budget Energie is consistently one of the most affordable choices for households looking for a cheap energy contract.

Best Supplier for Customer Satisfaction
UnitedConsumers is the top-rated supplier in terms of customer satisfaction, followed by Pure Energie and Vandebron.
UnitedConsumers rose from second place in 2024 to take the top spot in 2025/2026, achieving the highest score across all five of our customer criteria, including review scores, accessibility, and complaint handling. Customers particularly appreciate the extended business hours and the ability to chat directly with a representative.
Best solar panel supplier
In 2026, Mega will be the most affordable choice for households with solar panels. UnitedConsumers and Vandebron come in second and third.
Over the past six months, energy supplier Mega has most frequently appeared in the top 3 of our energy comparison tool, based on total costs including feed-in costs and feed-in tariffs.
Please note: Since 2026, Mega Energie has applied a net negative feed-in tariff. As a result, they are no longer the cheapest option in many cases.
